Brighton graduate celebrates as mindfulness product for kids hits the shelves
“It’s crazy to think that a small sketch during my degree has turned into a product that is now on the market. It’s an inventor’s dream!”
That is the view of University of Brighton graduate and entrepreneur Liam Murphy, who celebrates a major milestone this week as his mindfulness product for kids goes on sale.
Liam has launched his product, The Stix Mindfulness Remotes, to market on 2 February 2023 with the aim of improving children’s mental wellbeing through fun, interactive mindfulness activities. Read More

Brighton students on work placements at one of UK’s leading animation studios
Haniyyah Nauzeer, Vince Mosti and Lexie Rhys-Jones added to their Animation BA (Hons) studies with hands-on experience at PigBird studios, who specialise in stop motion animation. The placements were arranged by course lecturer Kate Jessop after PigBird’s Trevor Hardy did a Q&A session at the inaugural Brighton International Animation Festival, which Kate created and ran earlier this year.

RTPI bursary agreed for 2022 entry!
The Royal Town Planning Institute has just confirmed that they have agreement from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) to extend the Future Planners Bursary for this coming academic year 22-23. The scheme will again support new students who are going into planning.
You can apply for the Future Planner Bursary (England) if you are starting our Town Planning MSc course in Sept/Oct 2022.
