BSc (Hons) Sport Management

BSc (Hons) Sport Management

Our professionally endorsed Sport Management degree builds knowledge in vital areas such as marketing, leadership, finance and business principles, and combines this with practical experience gained on placement and through working on partner projects.

In the first year the students will be introduced to the components of sport business management and the impacts of sports policy, finance and economics on effective sport management.

In the second year, students will develop project management skills and analyse the role of management for the successful organisation of sport.   Students will complete 300 hours of work-based learning experience between March – May.  They will work full time for a sports organisation and carry out a project as well as developing their professional portfolio.

In the final year the students will investigate the roles of marketing and strategy in sport business management and undertake an extended piece of research.
