An Apprentice is employed and can benefit from support from the employer as well as the University
If you have concerns about an apprentice then access the support normally available to you for the undergraduate students such as the PEF, PLL, PAT and AA.
In addition the apprentice will have the support of a mentor/line manger in their employed base and the apprentice should be supported to keep in contact with them. They may also have a designated Apprentice Lead.
The apprentice should also be encouraged to raise concerns at the 12 weekly progress review that will be attended by their line manager and AA/PAT
The apprentice receives no additional funding for travel, and if they are experiencing hardship, they should be supported to discuss this with their employer, or contact Student Services at the University
