Welcome to this website that we hope will provide you with the resources that you need to be effective educators for our Health and Sport students. We really value all the help and support you give to our students through the practice learning opportunities you provide, enabling students to develop the knowledge, skills and professionalism needed to become our future workforce.
The website was initially created by two occupational therapy students, Megan Dudziak and Shauna Rouse, who undertook the project as part of their leadership placement with the Deputy Head for Practice Learning in the School of Health Sciences, Dr Channine Clarke. They worked collaboratively with placements leads, educators and other students to identify what resources were needed for you as educators and then created this site where you will find useful information such as dates of future educator courses, forms you may need for placements, professional and regulatory guidance, links to course specific information, ideas for alternative placement delivery, top tips from students and educators and information about being an ‘inclusive educator’. To find out more about this leadership placement visit the leadership page under the alternative placements tab.
We hope you find this useful and welcome feedback. Please do also let us know if there are other resources you would find useful. Please contact Channine Clarke (c.clarke@brighton.ac.uk)
