INVITE: Berries Feast at Spiel/Feld Marzahn, Germany
It is already the 4th year that the community gardeners at Spiel/Feld Marzahn celebrate their traditional Beerenfest [Berries Feast] at the same time as the Berlin-wide Fête de la Musique.
Gardeners, neighbours and friends are invited to an afternoon and evening of music (instruments and singing welcome!) at the Großes Beet [Big Bed] led by the garden association’s long-time former chair. At the same time, any berries growing in the communal parts of the garden will be jointly inspected, admired, explained, harvested and eaten. There are strawberries, red, black and white current, red and yellow gooseberries, cranberries and jostabeeries to choose from…
The association’s invitation in German:
Spiel/Feld Marzahn e.V. – jeder ist willkommen!
Katrin Bohn, during her time as guest professor at the Technical University Berlin, co-initiated this project in 2011 with local residents and TUB landscape architecture Master’s students, supported by the local council and funded by the Senate of Berlin.
If you are a neighbour of Spiel/Feld Marzahn or interested in this community garden, please feel free to come (from 3pm) and celebrate!
