Campus Prayer Rooms/ Support for staff and students during Ramadan
The information has also been updated on the university’s Chaplaincy webpage: https://www.brighton.ac.uk/current-students/my-student-life/chaplaincy/opportunities-for-worship.aspx
As you can see, there is also a multi-faith prayer/quiet room in Hastings: Havelock Road building room 414.
Also, during Ramadan 2019 (6 May–4 June), in addition to the Islamic prayer facilities in Watts Building during the daytime, there will be temporary Islamic Prayer facilities in Cockcroft M24 Mon-Thurs, 8pm-10pm (please note that there are no washing facilities available in this room).
As you may have seen on staffcentral, the university’s Race and Faith Staff Network and Equality and Diversity staff have developed this guide for managers and teaching staff on how to support staff and students who are observing Ramadan. It is intended to increase understanding about the month of Ramadan and offers advice on how to be supportive of colleagues/students who are fasting.
The following links may also be helpful for any students who may be feeling anxious about performing to their best while fasting:

- British Nutrition Foundation has also put together some useful information.
