External Examiners New Procedure to Review Samples
External examiners have requested electronic access to work samples for the next (2018) exam boards, therefore for assignments submitted using a Turnitin or a studentcentral submission point they will only be reviewing samples of work electronically via an external examiner area created in each module on studentcentral, no paper copies of work will be required.
Please do not make any changes to the external examiner area on your module please ask the office if you have any questions.
The Only Exceptions
Paper copies of exam papers, in class tests, in class presentations (not submitted) or any other assignment not submitted via a Turinitin or studentcentral submission point will still need to be collated and given to the undergraduate or postgraduate office.
Both offices require the marking review form/yellow form either a hard copy or one completed electronically, the offices will then populate the external examiner area in each module with the students works as listed on the marking review form.
Both the undergraduate office and the post graduate office have worked with Marion Curdy to provide instructions for external examiners.
What this means
- If an assignment was submitted via a Turnitin submission point then the feedback must be added via Turnitin, as below or the external examiner will not be able to read it. If you are unsure please ask more information here
- If an assignment was submitted via a studentcentral submission point then the feedback must be added via studentcentral as below or the external examiner will not be able to read it. Again if you are unsure please ask.
