The Centre for Transforming Sexuality and Gender (CTSG) is pleased to offer Queer Trouble. Queer Trouble is an interactive workshop which aims to explore themes related to gender and sexuality from an intersectional and decolonial perspective. The workshop will feature sessions led by Dr Rafael Cazarin (International Research Network on Science, Religion and Health), whose work focusses on the intersection of faith, gender, and sexuality. The workshop seeks to queer the conference format, and includes world café and open space sessions, which centre the voices and work of those participating. The workshop will also include a queer walking tour of Brighton. Post-graduate, early career and activist researchers are encouraged to apply. Participants will receive a reading list and are encouraged to bring along ideas and case studies relevant to the theme that they would like to discuss.
The conference is free to attend and will include light refreshments on Thursday and refreshments plus a full vegan / vegetarian lunch on Friday, as well as a drinks reception and post-conference social activity on Friday evening.
