Student Support Fund deadline for Nursing students

The Student Support Fund is one of the university hardship funds awarded to students who need extra financial support with living costs or who are experiencing unexpected financial hardship.  Each application is considered on a case by case basis and successful applicants receive a non-repayable payment.

The fund is available to all ‘Home’ undergraduate students, including EEA nationals who are receipt of a maintenance loan and students enrolled on a relevant Apprenticeship route, but we encourage you to read our detailed guidance for students before making an application.

We promote the fund regularly throughout the year and although the application window for standard courses has now passed for the financial year 21/22, there is an extended deadline up until Friday 8th July for February and September cohort nurses enrolled on a long course of 45 weeks duration per year.

You can apply once in each academic year, but we do close all funds for a short window in the summer for accounting and budget analysis purposes. The funds will reopen on 1st September 2022.

You can also explore the possibility of applying to the NHSBSA Exceptional Support Fund

If you would like to talk to a Student Adviser about your financial circumstances, please don’t hesitate to contact us by phone 01273 642888.
