Student Advice Service – Money Matters

News from the Student Advice Service at the University of Brighton

Are you a continuing student repeating the academic year? If so, check your student finance award

Aldrich library

Students who are repeating the academic year for the first time may still be eligible to receive full funding for the duration of the academic year even if they are repeating on a part time basis. However, this needs to be correctly recorded in order to receive the full funding.

Log in to your student finance online account and look at your notification of entitlement (found under the heading View Correspondence) – make sure the most recent letter says the correct academic year for 2015/16

If you are repeating on a part time basis, but you are still enrolled on the full time course, you are treated as a full time student

Students who are repeating a year for the second time may require additional support with their funding entitlement, and in these instances we would advise you to contact a Student Adviser to discuss your eligibility should you need any help or advice.

Our full contact times and locations can be found here
