Important message for students who started a course in 13/14 academic year or earlier

Do you receive any grants from Student Finance England which are intended for either dependant children or a partner? Do you usually live with a partner/spouse or other adult dependant?

One World

If you started your course in September 2013 or before, you may soon receive a copy of a ‘2014/15 Confirmation of Household Financial Commitments for Dependants’ Grants’ (DGCI) form from Student Finance England. This could be in the post, email or be sitting in the correspondence section of your online account, so please ensure that your contact details are up to date.

You will only have 6 weeks to return the form before any grants are removed. If this happens, automatic recovery of any overpayments will be taken from any future instalment of grant.

You should therefore return your completed form and provide evidence of all household financial commitments for the relevant period to SFE as a matter of urgency. If you don’t respond promptly, you will be sent a text and letter reminder within the 6 week period.

NB For students who started a course after academic year 13/14, this process changed and they will not receive a form.

If you need help completing the form or you want advice about what information is required, please contact us
