Message from BSU:

Changes to voter registration means that almost 1 million people have disappeared from the electoral roll. It is estimated that of this 1 million, over 200,000 are young people. This means that many people are potentially at risk of being unable to vote come May 7th.

Brighton Students’ Union and Sussex Students’ Union have been awarded £15,000 by NUS and the Cabinet Office to run a voter registration campaign in order to get as many of you registered as possible. Therefore, we’ve decided to throw a huge FREE party on May 4th at Pryzm Brighton and you’re all invited! We’ll have prizes and a big act headlining on the night – more details will be announced very shortly.

In order to enter the competition and win tickets to this party, all you have to do is send proof that you’ve registered to BSUVote@brighton.ac.uk. This can be a screenshot from the registration page or a letter that from the Council:

Attach your proof and include the following details to enter:

Full Name
Nationality
Institution
Course
Year
Student Number

The first 500 submissions will have guaranteed entry on May 4th, and the rest will be entered into a prize draw to win tickets. We will be releasing more details about the acts that will be playing on the night very soon! What have you got to lose? Get your entries in today! The deadline for registering to vote is April 20th, and the deadline for competition entries is April 27th. More information available shortly at www.brightonsu.com/registertovote/
