Primary PGCE trainees SBT3

15 April 2024 to 26 June 2024

For School Based Training 3 (SBT3), trainees return to their SBT1 school, and by now will have developed many of the skills needed to be a Primary 3-7 or 5-11 classroom teacher. Trainees are expected to take on a 75% teaching timetable and demonstrate autonomy in leading learning for their allocated group or class. They will plan and assess using the school’s systems, working proactively with other staff and parents/carers, and will evaluate their impact on pupil progress and well-being in order to develop strategies to improve.
