Primary BA trainees SBT2

22 Jan 2024 to 22 March 2024 (plus one introduction day 17 Jan 24)

Trainees work and learn in pairs in your school with their allocated learners on a full time basis for 8 weeks from 22 January.

In their second phase of school-based training the role of the trainee is to take greater responsibility for pupil progress and well-being, working with focus groups of allocated learners. Trainees will also undertake collaborative teaching, and build up to take sole responsibility for planning, teaching and evaluating a series of lessons. Trainees are expected to demonstrate confident judgement in planning for pupil progress within individual lessons and sequences of teaching.

Schools in our partnership have commented on the positive impact our trainees make to their learners including accelerating progress and engaging with the wider life of the school as professional members of the team.
