Primary PGCE trainees SBT1

30 Sept 2025 – 2 December 2025 

In School Based Training 1 (SBT1), trainees start by teaching focus groups under the direction of the class teacher, getting to know the children, the school routines and expectations. As trainees grow more confident and competent, they will lead the learning of allocated groups, and by the end of SBT1 teach some whole-class lessons.

Trainees usually return to the same class for SBT3.
