School Support 2020/21 Academic Year
Below is a summary of ways in which we are supporting partnership schools in the 2020/21 academic year.
School Support:
We provide a whole package of support for all of our Partnership schools and we have worked hard this year to reduce the workload and here are some of the ways in which we are further supporting our schools this academic year:
- School-based training will be flexible in order to respond to the context of your school
- Reduction in mentor workload, for example, reduced meeting length and pre-devised action plan targets that match with the weekly overview
- A freely available mentor blog with a wealth of resources including handbooks, training videos, assessment guides and report exemplars here Primary – resources and guidance | SCHOOL-BASED TRAINING (brighton.ac.uk)
- Online mentor training accompanied by online drop ins to get to know tutors, ask questions etc.
- Tutor visits will be remote but we will be in touch to support regularly and often
- Enhanced NQT support, here’s a flavour of our work via our NQT Springboard site https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk/nqts/covid-19-updates/
