School-based training opportunities in partnership with the University of Brighton

Covid19, trainee teachers and NQTs

Our School of Education team have always worked exceptionally hard to ensure that our trainees are effectively supported in their NQT year, and alumni entering their first post in September 2020 face many extraordinary circumstances related to Covid19

In order to ensure that this cohort of new teachers have resources at their fingertips, we have created a CV19 page on our dedicated Springboard NQT/RQT site designed to help them navigate the specific challenges faced by pupils and school staff as the return to school takes shape.

  • Sections range from Supporting Teacher Wellbeing and Mental Health to Learning through Landscapes.
  • All trainee teachers will have access to these resources, and alternative lesson and subject planning will form part of our curriculum in 2020/21 academic year and beyond.
  • Should the materials and links be useful to your staff team, please feel free to access them, they are open to all.

If you are able to host trainee teachers at your school to support learning for disadvantaged learners, please complete the relevant phase offer form  Primary Offers Form  or Secondary Offers Form
