Session 21: Toni KIng

About Toni

I am a Consultant Occupational Therapist working in Mental Health Services, Solent NHS Trust in Portsmouth, UK and Doctoral Student at University of Brighton, UK.
I am just over half-way through my part-time PhD titled ‘Studying Power in Conversations after Self-harm: A Critical Realist Understanding of Embodied Power in Community Mental Health’.
Managing the personal transition between my day job as a Consultant and my research days where my sense of self fluctuates and ranges between advanced beginner to occasional expert, has been rich with learning and challenge.

Session title

Exploring the Occupation of Coproduction

Session details
This seminar offers an exploration of how the occupation of coproduction – an approach I use in both environments – has enabled my progression at an individual and professional level.

This seminar has been developed in conjunction with two Lived Experience Research Advisors who are employed as part of my PhD – Clare Ockwell & Daniel Elton.
