Gill Cox
Until 2018, Gill was a class teacher in an “Outstanding” local primary school and taught enthusiastically in Years 2 to 5.
She was particularly passionate about the importance of all children feeling confident in maths and was also subject leader in design and technology, and modern foreign languages. Gill gained six years’ experience of mentoring trainees on school based training and thoroughly enjoyed supporting trainees to grow in confidence in the classroom.
She has been a University Tutor for the past year, supporting first year and third year trainees. Gill completed her training to be a teacher at the University of Brighton nearly 30 years ago!
Although some things in teaching have changed since then, she is still passionate about the importance of this career.
