Early Years SBT 2 – Alternative Age Range Placement
Introduction
During the course of their training, trainee teachers need to be prepared to teach across the 0 to 5 age range (the EYFS). To ensure all trainees are experienced across the age range, they engage in a placement working within an alternative age.
During SBT2 no trainee will be required to perform more than 90% of the duties normally required of a full-time early years teacher.
The placement will be organised by the School of Education Partnership Office. The placement is 13th – 24th November 2023.
At the University of Brighton your mental health and wellbeing is always our priority.
Support for trainees can be found at Wellbeing (brighton.ac.uk) and in the Partnership in Education (PiE) handbook.
Support for anyone in Early Years settings can be found at Early years practitioner wellbeing support – Help for early years providers – GOV.UK (education.gov.uk)
