I have been involved in primary education for over 25 years, working as a teacher and senior leader in primary schools in London, East Sussex and West Sussex. As lead mentor in one of the University of Brighton Partnership schools, I became interested in using my experience to support and develop trainee and early career teachers. I took on the role of University Tutor for the University of Brighton in 2017 and have been working with trainees and mentors on the Primary PGCE and Undergraduate courses ever since.

As Practice Learning Lead for the PGCE Primary 3-7 and 5-11 courses, I lead on the ET681, 682 and 683 modules. Working closely with colleagues based at the university and our partnership schools, I help to develop and deliver an integrated and purposeful curriculum, supporting our trainees through their PGCE course and preparing them for a successful teaching career.

I have a particular interest in mentoring and coaching and am working with colleagues throughout the School of Education and wider partnership to develop our mentor training and development programme.
