Student Advice Service – Money Matters

News from the Student Advice Service at the University of Brighton

Grants available for Arts and Media students who are care experienced

Are you a final year student on an Arts, Media or Product Design (please note this list is not prescriptive) course and you need some additional money?

Have you spent any time in the care of a local authority or you are care experienced?

If yes, you could be eligible to apply for a non-repayable award of £350 from The Pyrus Trust. These awards are to help support you during the final year of your studies and the focus is students undertaking arts and media related courses.

Applications open on Monday 8th October 2018 and the deadline is Friday 9 November 2018. Please have a look at the Brighton Pyrus Trust Bursary 2018 for further information and an application pack. You will also find a list of eligible courses and general information about the organisation and this fantastic financial incentive.

The university has a suite of additional funds, also known collectively as hardship funds, for students in financial need. The main fund is called the University of Brighton Student Support Fund

These funds are open throughout the academic year, so please contact the Student Advice Service for more information or download a form from the web
