Apply NOW for your funding for next year
Applications for funding for next academic year are now OPEN. The quickest and easiest way to apply is online at www.gov.uk/studentfinance
SFE have made some significant improvements for next academic year, so things should run more smoothly than ever before:
- You no longer need to sign and return your online declaration form:
You just need to read the online terms and conditions and re-enter your password to confirm that you agree to the small print. The application will not be processed without this consent, so be sure to read, sign and re-enter your password as prompted. Once SFE are satisfied that your application is complete, you will receive the assessment letter into your correspondence folder as usual.
2. If you applied for Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) last year, you will need to reapply for it again this year. If you have received DSA for more than a year, there is a chance you will no be required to send a new application so please read all correspondence carefully and follow the correct instructions for you.
All students applying for DSAs for the first time will need to download the form from www.gov.uk/studentfinance. If you have a problem downloading forms, you can ask SFE to post one out to you at your chosen correspondence address.
You will still need to re-enrol as usual before your funding instalment is released.
Applications for student finance need to be made by Friday 22 June 2018. Applications made after this date might result in students not receiving all their money in time for the start of the course.
