Have you got an opinion on spending habits and use of payday loans?
If so, we want to hear from you
Brighton and Bournemouth universities are currently researching the use of payday loans from a student angle, and we are looking for students who are willing to share their experiences with us.
We try to keep up to date with national trends, but the intention of this research is to help inform our team of Advisers about the local picture so we can look at how we can better support students who may be getting into debt or using payday loans as a budget necessity. We want to be more proactive in highlighting the dangers of using payday loans and raise awareness about the full range of university hardship funds and debt management advice we offer students here at Brighton.
We have asked students about payday loans in the last 2 Winn Reports (University of Brighton Student Finance Survey). Here are the findings: https://www.brighton.ac.uk/ssparc/about-us/publications/index.aspx
Please get in touch with Helen Abrahams if you’re happy to share your story h.l.abrahams@brighton.ac.uk
The Bournemouth study https://bournemouth.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/you-and-your-money is looking at the national picture amongst students and has been distributed to a number of universities across the UK. It should only take 5 – 10 minutes to complete.
Thank you
