Wednesday the 26th April
Online & M2, Grand Parade.
Session 1 : 1:30 – 3:00pm
Session 2 : 3:30 – 5:00pm
This workshop is designed to explore how to host engaging and inclusive hybrid activities. Be it a conference, workshop, or symposium. The workshop will cover both the basics of the technology options in setting up your hybrid event and also how to foster an engaging environment for your attendees.
The workshop will be divided into two sessions. Session 1 will focus on the technological aspects and set up of hosting a hybrid event. Session 2 will explore the challenges of running an event that is beneficial for both in person and online participants. Each session will include a talk and demonstration by the hosts as well as hands-on practice for participants, followed by an open discussion where attendees can ask questions and discuss specific issues and concerns.
Participants can attend both or either session. Those who attend either session will receive a booklet after the session which summarises the content of the workshop for future reference.
This workshop will be hosted by Vanessa Tautter and Áine McKenny. Vanessa and Áine are CMNH PhD Researchers who have experience in organising and running hybrid events.
The workshop is free and places are limited.
