You still have time to submit your online application for funding. Just.

Students need to apply for funding each year of their course, whether they are progressing to the next academic year or having to repeat the current academic year. You should either follow the instructions which your funding authority (eg SFE, SFW, SAAS, SFNI etc) has emailed you or check online here to see what you might be eligible for and how to apply.

As the funding authorities are currently accepting applications from continuing and new students, it may take more time than usual (6 weeks) to process applications, hence the importance of getting it done sooner than later.

If you have received any grants for dependents, childcare grant etc your funding authority may need to finalise your award for this academic year 2015/2016 before they consider next year’s funding so this process could take a number of weeks.

If you are a first year student and you received a University of Brighton Bursary this year, please note that this is only payable in the first year of study and you will not receive any further bursary payments in any subsequent years. If you are having financial problems, please contact the Student Advice Service on 01273 642888 or email studentadvice@brighton.ac.uk

If you have got any questions about your funding award or entitlement, please also contact the Student Advice Service. We are open all year round
