Hedi Kyle is well known among bookbinders as an inventor of clever book structures. With a background in conservation, her designs often decline the use of damaging adhesives. The book structures are always designed to solve a problem – form follows content.
Along with her daughter, Ulla Warchol, Kyle has published a book called “The Art of the Fold”. The book describes how to make many of her now famous structures. There are also many other tutorials online created by her devotees.
(Remember always to credit the originator if you use any of these structures in your own work)
