Head down to The Level, Brighton, this Thursday 29th October any time between 11.00 and 15.00, for a tasty hot lunch made entirely out of food which would otherwise have gone to waste.

As part of the c-change sustainability campaign, the University is co-organising ‘Feeding the 5000’, with the Brighton and Hove Food Partnership, Fareshare, and a variety of other organisations and community groups around the city.

‘Feeding the 5000’ is a community event, aimed at serving up a delicious communal feast for 5000 people, while raising awareness about food waste and how to tackle it.

The event aims to ‘raise awareness of food waste in Brighton and Hove, shine a light on the global food waste scandal, champion the delicious solutions and help catalyse the global movement against food waste.’

Large numbers of volunteers will be giving up their time to make this event happen, including many University of Brighton staff and students.  Do drop by to support them and this fantastic event if you can!
