Have you heard about the Don’t Rent Yet campaign?

Both Brighton and Sussex Universities are supporting this national campaign to help inform students when looking for accommodation for the next academic year.
Good quality, affordable rented accommodation is hard to come by and some agencies and private landlords capitalise on students’ concerns about finding somewhere to live for the following year some 8 months in advance, knowing full well that many will be tied into contracts for 12 months at a time.

Come along to the Housing Fair at the Sallis Benney theatre, Grand Parade campus, on Friday 23rd January and have a chat to the UoB Accommodation Service, Student Advice Service and external rental agencies about your choices for the year ahead.

If you have any questions about this event, please contact the Accommodation team on 01273 644100 or email accommodation@brighton.ac.uk

The Don’t Rent Yet Housing Fair will take place at the Sallis Benney Theatre (Grand Parade) tomorrow, 23rd January, between 10.30AM – 3.30PM.
The event is a collaboration betwen the Accommodation Service mand the UBSU and aims to provide all the information students need to rent a house successfully. We hope that students will leave the fair knowing what type of property to look for, and where best to find it, so as to avoid any pitfalls and problems.
The Student Advice Service will also be there on hand to answer any money questions
