Student Advice Service – Money Matters

News from the Student Advice Service at the University of Brighton

The deadline to register to vote is rapidly approaching – you have until 11.59pm tonight, Tuesday 18th June.
It can be particularly confusing for students, many of whom have a term time address and home address. You also might not know where you are going to be between now and polling day on 4th July or where to register if you plan to vote in person.
If you have moved or will be moving, you need to update your registration, but the Electoral Commission has very clear and current guidance for student voters, which may be helpful to you.
If your assigned polling station will be too far away when you move, you can still apply for a postal vote before midnight tomorrow, Wednesday 19th June, but please remember you need to register to vote first then register for a postal (or proxy) vote.
There are different ways you can have your say. Find out more from the Electoral Commission: https://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/voting…/ways-vote
and the NUS: https://www.nus.org.uk/register-to-vote – both  offer excellent independent advice.
