How to access local foodbanks in Brighton and Hove

The rising cost of food is increasingly visible, but for those households with very low income it can often be a daily struggle to provide adequate sustenance for themselves and their family.

More people are turning to foodbanks for help during this cost of living crisis and although some of the larger more recognised establishments do require referrals to use their foodbank facilities, other smaller local organisations do offer support without referral, meaning they are more accessible to those within their local community. In some cases the only eligibility criteria is that you need to live within a designated catchment area, so you just need proof of address.

We have drawn up a list of local foodbanks which may be available to you. These are all facilities which have food and toiletries for collection. Where specified, you need to call ahead.  To help, we have ordered them by location so you can check postcodes and description.
