Financial support for students travelling to the UK from red and amber listed countries.

If you are a student travelling from overseas to the UK to start or continue your students at the University of Brighton, you need to be aware of the additional financial costs associated with travel from red list countries and amber list countries at this time.

In response to these costs, we are offering the following package of financial support, which will come in the form of a refund paid directly to you after you have enrolled and started your course:

  • If you are travelling from a red list country, we can refund you up to £875 to help with quarantine hotel costs
  • If you are travelling from an amber list country we can refund you up to £100 towards compulsory testing packages

You will need to complete an application form once you are here and have started your course and provide a receipt or proof of payment.

This scheme is open to all new and continuing undergraduate and postgraduate students, regardless of fee status.

Please note that the UK government can add or remove countries from the red or amber list at any time so we advise you to keep up to date with all the latest UK travel guidance where you can also sign up for email alerts and we regularly update our own University of Brighton COVID-19 FAQs.

Safe travels and see you soon
