Important funding message for European students

The EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) closes on 30th June 2021

Please make sure you have read and understood the guidance relating to EEA nationals and completed all necessary actions before the 30th June deadline. Our International Advisers have prepared clear and extensive advice and guidance for you on the University website.

You need to apply to the EUSS to be granted either settled or pre-settled status. This will ensure that you satisfy the legal requirement to remain in the UK after 30 June 2021.

How does this affect funding?

Continuing students – you will continue to be eligible to apply for the same funding package as you have been receiving.

However, you still need to apply for the EUSS before 30th June 2021 to remain in the UK lawfully.

New students – you need to provide a valid ‘EUSS share code’ as part of your application for funding. You can only be considered for student finance if you have this information.

If you have just completed an undergraduate course and you plan to start a Masters, you will be assessed as a new student and therefore require the share code.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Student Advice team if you have got any questions about your funding as an EU student.
