Wellbeing Week Shopping Basket Challenge – THE RESULTS

Thank you to everyone who studied our 2 shopping baskets last week and entered the competition to win a bag of groceries.

We presented you with a list of everyday items and asked you to guess the difference between the premium and non branded goods. All items were purchased from typical supermarkets such as Aldi, Sainsbury, Morrisons and Co-op. The results are in and the correct price difference was……………………………………………… a staggering £13.05, which means you can buy almost 3 times as much unbranded as premium goods. And the reason we chose these particular items was because we know they score well in public opinion taste tests.

Nobody guessed the correct amount, but our 2 winners came close with guesses of £12.50 and £11.70 respectively. They have been selected and notified and share the spoils of both baskets.
