Most of us probably access the internet on a daily basis, whether it is on our phones, personal pc, mac, tablet or in an internet cafe. Whether we’re managing our bank accounts, checking in on social media, shopping, doing some research or catching up with friends and family we want reassurance that we can enjoy the internet safely and our details won’t be shared  or hacked.

The SLC are very proactive in protecting students’ confidentiality and they work with universities to make sure important messages reach students: http://www.slc.co.uk/students/online-safety.aspx

Get the latest tips and be warned about the latest scams by checking www.getsafeonline.org or have a chat with the Student Advisers at your campus about how you can protect your identity and activity http://bit.ly/ContactSAS. For Moulsecoomb based students, Holly and Hassan at Cockcroft branch of Santander are supporting National Student Money Week and are on hand to help with online advice
