Dr Ioannis Pantelidis joins Be Inclusive Hospitality advisory board

Dr Ioannis Pantelidis, Principal Lecturer on our university degrees in marketing. tourism and events, was recently invited to join the Advisory Board of Be Inclusive Hospitality.

Be Inclusive Hospitality is a not-for-profit organisation founded by Lorraine Copes in November 2019 and incorporated in July 2020. The organisation promotes Inclusivity in one of the largest industries of the service economies.

The hospitality industry is the third biggest employer in the UK, yet the absence of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people within positions of influence, or seniority has consistently been a visible problem. Be Inclusive Hospitality is keen to help change the narrative for those impacted by the barriers to progress.

Be Inclusive Hospitality welcomes Black, Asian and other Ethnic Minorities within Hospitality, Food and Drink and features numerous services to help its members including coaching and a mentorship scheme, designed to help any colleagues that feel they belong to a minority group and can use help.

Dr Ioannis said: “I feel honoured to be invited to the advisory board and thrilled to work with Be Inclusive Hospitality colleagues on more projects and support the strategic vision of Be Inclusive Hospitality on matters of equality and inclusivity.”
