Brighton Law School Kicks Off the Academic Year with the “Life in Law” Talk
Each year, Brighton Law School launches the academic year with its Annual Welcome Week “Life in Law” talk. This highly anticipated event, open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, offers invaluable insights into the legal profession.
This year’s talk, titled “From Brighton to the Legal Profession: Alumni Journeys,” will feature a panel of Brighton Law School graduates at various stages of their legal careers. These alumni will share their personal journeys from student life in Brighton to building successful careers in law.
The event will begin with an introduction by Professor Catherine Robinson, Dean of the School of Business and Law, and will be chaired by Dr. Jack Thompson, Principal Lecturer in Law and LLB Course Leader.
Meet the Panel
Current law students at the University of Brighton will have the opportunity to hear from:
- Alan Larkin – Director and Head of Innovation & Technology at Family Law Partners
- Elizabeth Garniss – Senior Paralegal at Britton and Time Solicitors
- George Harrison – Trainee Solicitor at The Jonathan Lea Network
- Lauren Andrews – Trainee Solicitor at East Sussex County Council
