The 2019 Graphic Medicine conference is hosted by the Brighton and Sussex Medical School and is taking place in Brighton, in the Sallis Benney Theatre. Graphic Medicine as a movement has been growing and developing over more than a decade and is important not only for those interested in comic studies and arts and health – this year it has a particular focus on ‘refusing binaries’ and ‘giving a voice’ to those often silenced.
