How to get started

Welcome to the University of Brighton’s blog network that uses WordPress as a platform.

Already a member/owner of a blog site? Click here to login.

Looking to create your own blog site? Follow the instructions below.

The topic and content of sites you create should be in accordance with the university’s Social Media Policy.

To get started please click here to create your blog site. You will be prompted to enter your university network username and password for login.

You can create additional blogs with names of your choosing. Simply go to ‘Dashboard’ > ‘My Sites’ then click ‘Create a New Site’. You will then be presented with the options to choose a name for your blog, a title and decide who can access your blog. ‘Public’ is the recommended setting unless you have a specific purpose in mind that requires visibility of your site to be restricted to certain people.

Please read the Edublogs User Guide for further instruction on how to use WordPress. It covers pretty much everything you’ll need to know to get started.

If you have questions about the service please contact Beth Leese, Head of Creative and Digital Services at E.Leese@brighton.ac.uk or on 2606.
