We aim to support all of our students to be successful throughout their time at the University, making sure you can complete your courses with confidence.
Over summer 2018, we have:
- Taken steps to ensure that in future, any postponed lectures are rescheduled as soon as possible. The University has a zero tolerance approach towards the cancellation of lectures.
- Several floors of the Aldrich Library have been upgraded, while the library at St Peters House has been completely refurbished, including the introduction of a new cooling system.
- The borrowing limits on library books has been increased from 20 to 99.
- The Falmer Library is now available seven days a week, with a new computer room now open from 8am.
- New teaching, study and social spaces have been upgraded across our campuses.
- Laptop fines have been reduced.
- Computers have been upgraded across our campuses.
- We have ensured specialist software is loaded on computers in student study spaces.
- Online reading lists have been improved.
We are also:
- Improving transition between years so that students have a chance to select on their development
- Ensuring students get meaningful feedback on assessments in clearly understood timescales
- Making sure that, where appropriate, students are supported to resubmit work on at least one failed module during the academic year
- Making improvements to Welcome Week to help students feel part of a community.
