Interprofessional Education
You asked for more Interprofessional Education to be incorporated into your learning. We have now ensured that first and final year year students can attend a conference that allows you to work with students from other health and social care professions on case-based scenarios, and you will also have the opportunity to choose from a range of workshops including sessions facilitated by service users. These are great forums to share knowledge and gain a new perspective, and had previously only been open to third year students.
First year conference: Wellbeing for collaborative Practice
Final year conference: Working together for personalised care
Additional Pharmacology sessions
You asked for additional pharmacology sessions to support your learning on Nursing courses. We have now added these to the curriculum.
How is my feedback used?
You asked us how to find out about the way we use your feedback to make positive changes. We run a session with Course Leaders, involving slides from the Your Voice Matters campaign, to help close the feedback loop and provide you with updates of developments.
Helping you manage your assessment load (Midwifery)
You said that you found the assessment load difficult to manage at certain points in the year, especially when you are also out in clinical practice. We have ensured that the assessment load across the midwifery course has been changed so that no two assessments need to be submitted on the same day and are now at least 2 weeks apart.
