You asked for more input from industry professionals into your course. We have now provided modules in partnership with leading companies and also redesigned our teaching to include more site visits, giving you more opportunities to gain industry experience.
You asked for specialist computer software to be more widely available on campus. We have extended the opening hours for designated computer laboratories, and you are also now able to access specialist software on library computers.
You asked for improvements to the timeliness of receiving feedback on your work. From this year, all of your marks will be returned using My Grades, and you will get an email whenever a new piece of work has been marked. This is turned around within 20 working days.
You asked for more guidance and advice on your study choices. We have enhanced our personal academic tutorial provision to provide you with more support with your studies, as well as on making future career choices.
You asked for more consistent grading and feedback. Marking criteria are now accessible through module briefs and the Grade Centre, and we have also streamed our assessment moderation process. This means that you will receive consistent levels of feedback, and have a better understanding of what is expected within your assessments.
