You said that too many of your lectures were cancelled. We now ensure that, where a lecture cannot be held on the specified day and time, it will be rescheduled to another time. This will be communicated to you in a timely manner, and for last-minute postponements you should receive a text message to your phone.

Modernising your learning spaces
You said that some of your teaching and learning spaces needed modernising. As part of the University’s Modern Spaces programme, we have installed new interactive Touchscreen TVs in teaching rooms, Aldro queen and Queenwood library, creating more flexible learning environments so that you can work in a way that suits you.
What to expect from collaborative learning
You told us that group work and collaborative learning can be challenging, particularly if engagement and lecture attendance is inconsistent amongst peers. As a result, we have produced a set of 10 recommendations, using your feedback, which focuses on your engagement with lecturers and group work.
More consistent feedback practices
You asked for more consistency in assessment and feedback practices. We have produced a set of guidelines and principles of good practice (Assessment Jigsaw) for teaching staff, to streamline the process and ensure you receive consistent levels of feedback.
The Assessment Jigsaw will also provide you with guidance on receiving and understanding your assessment feedback.
