We have been working over the summer to invest in our facilities to help support and enhance the student experiences, based on feedback you have given us.
These include:
- Areas of the Checkland building have been refurbished, including several teaching spaces. Checkland Atrium has been completely modernised to offer a vibrant welcoming space for students and staff. There are huts with comfortable seating, power sockets and bold new plants. It’s a place to unwind, socialise and work.
- Student computers at various points across the Falmer campus have been upgraded.
- Opening hours at Falmer Library have been increased so it is now available seven days a week, with a new computer room there now open from 8am.
- Level 2 of Watson Building (formerly Mayfield House) has been refurbished, including the creation of a new student study and social area.
- Two new dedicated nursing skills zones have been created – one in Falmer and another in Eastbourne.
