Why do I need to have approval from my GP?
This is to ensure class safety. If you have been screened for Pulmonary Rehabilitation you will know how your saturations respond when you exercise and if you need oxygen for the class.

How much does it cost?

The classes are currently 30 pounds for 8 weeks of pulmonary rehabilitation.

What will the process of the classes be?
A student will be in touch with you before the class starts by telephone, to register you so that we know of any other health issues you may have. Upon arriving, you will perform a quick assessment so that we can track your progress throughout the sessions.

What do I need to wear to exercise?
Wear loose fitting comfortable clothing with layers you can easily remove if you get too hot. Footwear is important and must offer good support, indoor running shoes highly recommended. Make sure you have non-slip and flat-soled shoes which stay firmly on your feet and that any laces are tied securely to avoid the risk of tripping over.

What if I don’t feel well prior to the class?
You should not start to exercise if you are feeling more unwell than normal, instead, follow your self management plan according your symptoms. Please leave us an email to notice that you are unwell to join the class in advance.

What if I can’t do one of the exercise?
If you are unable to do one of the exercises for some reason, you can ask for a regression of the exercise, or take a rest.

What if I get pain from the exercise?
If one of the exercises is uncomfortable or hurts, you can leave it out and do one of the other exercises that do not hurt twice.
