This morning we were briefed for our new module AD139 Visual Promotion. I’m looking forward to this project. I’m going to go home to London this weekend to look round exhibitions and galleries to get some inspiration.

This week I have been finishing off my project. I submitted it yesterday. These are some of the illustrations I’ve made using drawing and Photoshop.

Today I developed my photographs in the darkroom with Maria. I did a lot of test strips and experimented with different filters. I learnt a new technique called ‘fading’. I’m happy with how they turned out. I’ll definitely put these in my zine.

Today we had tutorials with Jules. It was group tutorial. i showed Jules my research and my life drawings. I have done a lot of artist research and looked at many artists such as Juno Calypso, Petra Collins & Arvida Bystrom, Gemma Correll, Tony Viramontes, Zoe Emma, Isabel Chiara, Hannah Altman, Maren Karlson, and Polly Nor.

Our last life drawing lesson with Phil Tyler. I’m really pleased with my drawings from todays session.

Today Holly came round for a quick photoshoot. Teresa took photos as well because our projects have similar themes and we had similar ideas for a photoshoot. We used my bedroom as a backdrop.

Today we had Mark Wells at Cockcroft and he showed us how to use Indesign for our Zines.

This morning we had a lesson at cockcroft with Mark Wells. We learnt how to make GIFs using photoshop. We had to draw a chair with a jacket on it and rotate to the seat next to us. I really enjoyed this lesson. I unfortunately didn’t save mine so can’t put it up here but I’ve got the drawings I did.
This afternoon we had Jules and Martha teaching us book binding. I made a little book and was actually quite impressed with how neat it was ! I will definitely be doing book binding again.

We had a life drawing lesson with Phil today. We used ink and I found it quite difficult at first, however I do feel like I’m improving.

This afternoon we had a collage workshop with Martha and Jules. We cut up magazines, i tried to find pictures that related to my theme. I really enjoyed making collages and when I got home I made lots more.
