Work by Emma Stibbon, Royal Academician and senior lecturer in the School of Art, was commissioned for the exhibition Ruskin, Turner & the Storm Cloud.
Emma retraced the steps of Turner and Ruskin through the alps, looking at the transitions in the landscape and in particular, the shrinking of the glaciers.
The show is currently in its last few days at York before transferring to Abbot Hall Art Gallery, Kendal, Cumbria (12 July – 5 October 2019).
The show marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of John Ruskin.
