Recommended: The Forty-Year-Old Version (film)

This comedy satire directed by Radha Blank explores the plight of a black playwrite and the challenges that she faces as she approaches forty within her community and in the cultural industries as she forges her career. Witty, surprising, challenging the characters are likeable and convincing. Radha also stars as a playwright who embarks on the opportunity of her life so far, she is conflicted by the temptations of success against her drive to be true to herself as an artist.
