Perhaps the simplest self-assigned brief, I very simply went out to capture the multiple signs that lurk within our everyday lives. Graphic designed messages sit on every corner of our world embodying commanding instructions to help us navigate the modern world. Our lives are so complex we need to embed messages into everyday life to assist the controlling mechanisms of society. Capturing the different sign was very interesting as I was able to analyse the different sources of these signs, their status and the impact of their mark upon the streets. Some enforce laws or advertise experiences or even just planted to make someone laugh. These images were all taken outside using natural light an while not interesting in that aspect, the content is what makes this shoot engaging.
