Portraits: Using the Visual

With this group of pictures, I wanted to exercise my learning about visual storytelling. In these pictures, I wanted to be especially articulate with the ideas I wanted to convey. Like the pictures, I researched with spectacular visual meaning I wanted to be deliberate with how I framed and composed this set of portraits.

I wanted to examine ideas that adequately apply to my life. I’m these pictures I wanted to teenage rebellion and angst without being flagrant about it.

They aren’t actively negative but I wanted to explore these traits. I wanted to direct my subjects without making it feel too natural. I also tried to use lighting to push these ideas forward and be more succinct and deliberate.

This collation of images highlights different motives of the teenage condition. Presenting a range of emotions from anger to sloth to freedom of youth.
